The food chain
This is a broadside completed for an artists poem titled "The Food Chain". To support the meaning of the poem, I wanted to portray a high-end restaurant with the poem itself resembling the menu.
All forms of art are able to evoke different emotions, I took advantage of this by not only relying on the words of the poem, but also photography. By doing this, the viewers first emotions come from the photograph…gathering a sense of dining out at a nice, high-end restaurant. This takes a drastic change when the words are read and the true emotions come out.
I kept it clean and empty to capture the atmosphere of the last line "we die without catching anything".
